Gourds and Polymer clay takes the prize, 1st prize that is.

Wow what and exciting day I received this email and beautiful photo from one of my custom order customers, Theresa Zanaboni.

Hi Linda,
Just wanted to send you a picture of a gourd that I did with your polymer clay on it.  Just entered it into the Arizona Wuertz Gourd Festival this past weekend, and it won 1st place in the mixed media category.

Thank you for making the beautiful buttons and butterflies…they sure helped complete this gourd!  Your work helped me to make this gourd come alive from how I visualized it.  Thank you!

Theresa and I met last spring when I was selling at a local arts and craft show. She and I chatted at length about my work with polymer clay and her work with gourds. She loved some of the butterfly canes I had on some of my boxes and she wondered if I could make some custom ones that she could use on gourds. We came up with a plan and she ordered some buttons minus the holes, and some butterflies, arching just the way she wanted them.

Theresa is truly is a phenomenal gourd artist. She entered her gourd along with the adonrments I made in the Arizona Wuertz Gourd Festival and won 1st prize in the mixed media category. I feel honored that I was able to have just a tiny hint of help in her success. Its always so amazing to see where the spark of creativity meets such a beautify finished piece. This was the final results of her vision.
